Alright so here's a futile effort i got myself into on a saturday afternoon....i know you're not supposed to wheel alone! So keep the indian burns and purple nurpples to a minimum please! I had fun...for the most part haha This was the main reason why I was out in an undeveloped mountain side neighborhood VVV
Anyone order some snow?
Notice the dropoff on the driver's side?
If I knew how to drive this I woulda just towed my jeep out before I wanted to spend the night up here.
At this point im stuck, because I created my own dynometer ruts in the snow and if i back up any further i would end up sideways in the ditch.
So, with a heavy foot on the skinny pedal and a lil digging with my army surplus shovel i am able to pull forward and back down in my original ruts! TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT!
Where would i be without my survival kit and shovel....always carry one in the back of your vehicle for all seasons!

Love the wheels. You should've learned from the LOST Rockies expedition of Feb 2005 when two of four in our group got stuck really bad in the snow (it was an off-road trail turned into snowmobile trail only in the winter). Definitely do not go it alone in the winter. IF either one of the two that had gotten stuck, had been alone, they would've been stuck for good. No getting out alone, that was a guarantee. We had to strap two KJ's together to pull one of them out. Fresh snow. Beautiful area. Tough to hold back. I understand. |
