So how did you do your grill that way? Im still not sure if I like it or not. I was really looking for something that covers more area, but being a CRD I'm not sure how much more I can limit the air intake that's right behind the passenger headlight.

Looks very reminiscent of the old Cherokees. Looks pretty good!

Just painted those dark slats right?

Someone on here has one of those custom mesh-type grills or if I rememmer correctly, they used screen door material.

Makes the grill stand out more.

No painting on mine, just silver door edge guards, stuck on slots.

Same here, the inner parts of the grill were black factory, and I bought those chrome door edge guards you see at auto parts stores and put them on the interior slats, didnt realize that it was an idea already taken.. :)

The whole grille is easy enough to remove - then the black plastic just pops off and can be painted pretty easily in a silver tint.

I think they sell just the inserts as well as the chrome grill.

is yours bubbling from the heat on the radiator yet? :) only 1-2 strips bubbled a bit so far, otherwise holding nicely.

If you look close you can see millions of pits from sand and salt here from a nasty winter in Aurora Colorado. Fortunately right before the first big snow I had clear tint put on the grill and everything on the front. Those chrome strips look like they have been through a sand blaster and will prob have to be replaced every 6 months or so, but I bought them at wallyworld for $2 for 2 strips, and 3 sets total covered it, so $6 isnt going to break the bank if I decide to replace them again.

Mine was about $20, since each cost $7 + tax. I had to buy two rolls. Cutting them was the most difficult part, since they are pretty tough, and scissors made a mess, if you have exacto knife or something very sharp, it should be very easy to cut.

I just took mine off and spray painted it silver. Need to redo it pretty soon though since the paint is starting to chip pretty badly.
