My 2005 Cherokee

This is my 2005 Cherokee 3.7L Sport. Who can see the differences between a US Liberty Sport and a Europe Cherokee Sport? There are a few.

Well where we have our antenna you guys get a little yellow light as well as on the other side. You guys usually have a rear tire cover that is surrounded by a plastic piece that will hold your license whereas our plates go on our bumper, thus making both ou rear bumpers different too. OH, and the name....there are probably some other differences too, like different diesel options available for them too, we only got the 2.8 CRD over here.

our 3.7L engines run on gas, not petrol

Call me stupid...but I guess I didn't know that not ALL European vehicles have the wheel on the right side...but I thought it was always on the right over there?! Hmm...learn something new each day I suppose. Welcome to the board...nice clean KJ.

Only a small few countries drive on the left side of the road (Japan, Great Britain, Australia to name a few). About 1/4 of the countries of the world drive on the left (most likely former British colonies).

Story goes that driving on the left goes back to the days of passing your enemies with your sword-side towards them. Most people being right-handed meant passing on the left. Napoleon changed France because he was left-handed so he had his armies pass to the right. Not sure how much all of that is true, but........I am a lefty....so, thanks little General.

Look at the front seats. They have headrests like the Limited. The backseat has 3 headrests.
The sticker is a autobahn permit for Switserland.

DIfferent front bumper, turn signals are higher, you have an orange (reflector?) where our turn signals are, you also have a side marker light where our antenna is. Adjustable headrests, and 3 headrests in the rear seat. And different wheels, I think...

front bumper looks just like mine, reflectors and all....turn signals in the same spot too...the antenna thing is right though...

Well, diffrences in US vs. Euro spec KJ......There really isnt much with the exeption of some cosmetic pieces and options. First, Im sure DCX has the same engine options on both shores, the only diffrence would be a smaller gas (petrol) engine as an option and the CRD in europe would have the manual trans as standard verses US CRD's with auto trans only. Then theres the trim pieces, Turn signal repeters on the front fenders, diffrent bumpers and of cource the NAME. Other than that, its the same truck we get here state side vs. euro spec.

Nope...wheels are the same as mine. There really doesn't seem to be many noticable differences.

They (euro) have headlamp leveling system, nice for towing,parking lights inside headlamp and rear fog lights. Better tow package (3500 kg), diffrent navigation radio RB3.

You are all right. But the biggest difference is the price.
The list price in Holland for a new KJ 3.7L auto 4x4 is $ 52.000.-!! And don't think you get a discount.
I payed $ 34.500 for my 1 year old, 12.500 miles KJ.

For Example - a 3.7 Cherokee (Liberty) Limited in Austria has a price of exactly EUR 42,500 which is now USD 56,000 !!!

Thanks to a 20% sales tax and 16% tax based on fuel consumption :cry:

And some other countries has even higher prices...
