Here's what I started out with. On the lot:
At the runway:
Went wheeling that same week I bought it:
Moved to Germany (transport company broke off the wind deflector):
Installed grill inserts:
Somehow ended up with a hole in one of my tires so I got a new spare:
Installed a set of General Grabber AT2s (removed rear mud flaps):
Painted the front flat black, the bumper ended up peeling:
Installed a set of AEV wheels (removed front mud flaps):
Rusty's 2.5" coil lift installed, debadged, installed front tow hooks, and replaced the Wrangler spare with a Grabber:
Fixed the peeling bumper:

That is a great looking ride. I like the progression shots. So, what's next on the list? |

Wrangler AT/R, that looked pretty cool actually. How did you move the jeep from Alaska to Germany? on that AEV + Grabbers, what's the size of the tire? Looks very good even without the lift! |

How did you move the jeep from Alaska to Germany? on that AEV + Grabbers, what's the size of the tire? Looks very good even without the lift! It was transported on a ship. The grabbers are 245/70R16. |

Next time I am in der Nachbarschaft, i will give you call and pick them up. BUT, with only spare, I cannot really do much. Since your 4 were SR/A (UGH) and spare was AT/R by itself. grabbers with those rims look great. |

I really hated those SR/A's. About the AT/R... I never got a chance to try it out since it was only a spare, so I have no idea about the performance either. But I did think it looked pretty decent. I think the AT/R is only sold in Europe. |

Yeah, that tire looks nice, I never saw them on this side of the pond. Kidding aside, how much did you pay for the rims? I think those cost arm and a leg, right? |

bigmd wrote: what did you do about the front bumper?i painted mine twice and its peeling This time I did some light sanding, wiped it down with mineral spirits, used several coats of automotive primer, then put on the final black coats. Last time all I did was spray it with black paint. It's been about a week so far, and everything seems OK. Last time it started peeling the next day.

Germany is nice this time of year. Or at least it was this time last year. Perhaps in a few years I'll join you there. I also intend to bring my Libby(s). |
