I took an old rusty military pioneer kit and sandblasted and rubber coated it.I then mounted that sucker where I can get that shovel and pick out when I find the Lost Dutchman's mine or I guess I can use it if I get stuck. Oh yeah there is an ax too for when I want to feel manly.

A suggestion: A locking system so those tools don't get up and walk away while you are grocery or mall shopping. |

I don't keep the tools on all the time, just for camping/wheeling otherwise they are in my garage. |

That's great idea. I could use something like that. There's a rumor/legend going around that during the American Revolution, some british troops stole an American gold shipment and buried it in the Pine Barrens somewhere around Apple Pie Hill here in NJ. If i'm gonna go diggin for gold, i'm going to need something to carry the tools in. |

I like that setup. That's real good thinking, saving all your inside space for those American gold stashes. |

Where do you get the Pioneer kit? I was going to strap those items to the wilderness rack (roof) and keep them there. I also have a "hefty hauler" which is a rack that mounts to the trailer receiver. It is basically a roof rack that has a stinger for the trailer receiver. I have that there for coolers or items that won't fit in the back. I had it made and it even has lights on the back that plug into the trailer plug. But the pioneer kit would work well as an addition. |

Kit, is your hefty hauler custom made? I've only seen the basic platforms that mount in the receiver. Any pics? |

I bet you don't get a lot of tailgaters with those hooked up. |
