Definatley going to make some rock rails and a custom rear bumper (got some practice with the front  ). The turn signals are in the grill right now. They would get dunked pretty often any lower. Thats the reason i never put the fog lights back on.

). Chris same here Im just about done with my front and when I completely done Ill be starting my rear, I already drew up some plans and ideas what thickness are you going to use? I was thinking I would try 6" tall 1/4" C-Channel and put a hitch on it so I can increase my depature angle a whole lot more |

Havent completely made up my mind on thickness. I used 3/16 plate with 1/4 angle for reinforcement on the font. Probably use the same for the rear. I use a lot of card board for mocking up angles befor I cut steel. Still need to decide on the tire and jack carrier too. Ditto on doing a built in hitch. Hitches will just kill departure angle. No damage from the rocks, well a few scratches on the skids. Had a few freinds spotting and keeping an eye out. Chris |

Chris for the tire Im either going to do something like RL's or Ill throw it on the roof but Id rather have it on the bumper, yeah the cardboard makes it alot easier than guess and check on cuts, lol and the hitch man mine is bare metal b/c it hangs so low and drags on the rocks do you have any ideas drawn up yet? I think I will prolly do something similar to jereosbou but with the c-channel I think that it would add alot more strength than piecing it together |

Havent realy drawn anything. As far as strength I think that kind of depends on the design and your welding skills. Since the back is pretty straight I think if you want to go that route you could use some rectangle stock instead of the c channel or is there a reason you want the back side open? Chris |

well it saves a little bit on weight and then I could get it all powdercoated and I would not have to worry about rust b/c it would be coated where as a 2x6 I cant get all the way inside....idk i have rustaphobia lol I dont want it to rust and weaken or anything even tho it would take an extremely long time for it to rust enough to cause problems |

for the most part I would think the stock would be all sealed with welding up the sides. I dont think rust would be much of a problem. Christopher |

I went up those steps at a crawl. I have a locker in the rear so traction is pretty good. I would be a little scared to go up that fast. Chris |
