Just one picture taken last year in Hungaria when my wife bottomed out the Cherokee.

The scene is shot on vacation in central Hungaria, in a region called Puszta, sparsely populated and with 5 x more sandy tracks than hard roads.
The picture is a HDR which means it is composed of 3 differently exposed pics. Gets you 3 x the sharpness and a wide color range. And those a bit exagerated colors. This technique is great for photographing in low light or against bright backgrounds.

And she sits right here beside me and watches when I work on photos of animals or people. She DOES recognize herself.

And almost everybody can make these pictures. Even with a cheap camera. Basically you take 3 shots from the same object but with different exposures. One too bright, one correct and one too dark. If your camera does not have the feature of taking that row automatically (many have it) you must make some simple adjustments by hand. Later you combine these pics in an easy program. But in almost all cases you need a good, fixed stand for the camera. I work with a large and a small tripod. Just try it, for starters putting the camera on a wall will do.
For doing this on moving objets however you need a FAST digital cam.

heck i just got a new dig. camera. its a 7.2 mpxl kodak easy share. i guess its ok but im not sure if it can do that. im not much of a photographer :oops:

wish i was though i love to look at good shots like that.

I think I'm just hyjacking my own tread but it might interest others too.
Modern digicams often have a serial picture function. If you have it you have probably also the option of automatically adjust exposure in a serie. If you have an adjustment possibility there set it as far away to both sides (bright and dark) as possible.
Once you have 3 differently exposed pics you can use a program like HDRStudio or similar (search with HDR in Google) to combine them. The results are overwhelming, just try it out. Only problem is if there are moving objects.
