We had an abondoned car on the street for about 2-3 months.. I always told my wife, I will climb over that sucker one night, but chickened out since it was on the street, and I could get the blame for the damage that was already done on it..

i'm always tempted to do this to any mazda miata i see on the street. especially when you pull behind a really really small car and can barely see their roof past your hood.. that's really tempting.. haha really cool pictures.. how is the rubbing with the 265/75's in the back.. do yours hit the fender flare inside by the rear door??

Question about the trimming. I looked into doing that but right under the plastic piece of fender flare (the one that wraps around the corner of the door).. is the metal door. Did you cut the door at all.. or just the plastic flare? Also is the seal still good on the door.. because the rubber seal goes right along the edge of the door. I've been going to do this for a long time.. just need some more info.

i grinded the metal a little and alot on the top...i left the door seal thier also got another seal to go where the door closes on to the raised foot pannel...i have had water and mud a quarter up the door and it stayed dry...the plastic insert i kept just cut half of it to protect the tire from the pinch weld in the wheel wel and to protect the fuel bay...

thanks again... the rubbing problem in the back isn't bad.. but i'd sure love for it not to be there!! i think your the first person to do this mod to avoid that.. if someone else did i'm not aware of it... and again.. those pictures are sick! (of you running over the eclipse :))
