Well me and a friend have been on the quest for a project truck we can work on and it not be our daily driver that we can take out and abuse. Well the story starts with me finding a 1942 chevy wrecker truck that was x-military, I immediately fell in love with it. Called the guy, it hadn't been moved in 15 years, since then there had been about 3-4 serious hurricanes, meaning that it had been flooded with salt water

. WELL he wanted 400 bucks for it and seriously considered it until I thought about it hard. you can see from the pictures that it was going to be an insane amount of work. and money...
Well, we both said no thanks. we then thought about an old truck (1981 chevy scottsdale k10 4x4 305 v8) up at my friends hunting camp that was his dads. we talked to him and he agreed that for a few hours of work we could have it for FREE

. We changed the fluids, and got her running. And began the 180 mile trip back home. . .
Rolling about 55 down I-10 Through mobile my buddy calls me ( im following him) and says the front end is shaking alot, and as soon as he said that the front left tire blew out.
I was suprised it didnt happen sooner with tires that were about 15 years old. So a tow truck and 4 new 33x12.50x15 maxxis buckshot mudders got put on so we could finish the last stretch.
we got it home, replaced all the brakes, rotors, drums, pads, shoes, whole nine yards.
we are now tearing out the interior and cutting out the floor and welding in a new one, then going to bedline it, and get a new seat.
anddd here are a few new shots of the jeep with the smoked turn signals, and black diamond plate front skid, and i might add that the Green diamond icelander M/T's are holding up great and i have about 3000 miles on them now..
