Aussie Wheeling in Wombat State Forest

Here's a couple of pics from a trip to a local forest the other day. Yes, we have a public holiday here on a Tuesday for a horse race, go figure!

Helpfully when they graded the major track we're entering they piled up a load of earth over the end of the minor side track we're exiting. Makes it more interesting though;

Dan and Mel get dirty;

Despite having every skid plate known to man, a branch managed to find its way into my undercarriage and pop off the transfer case linkage leaving me stuck in 4LO. OK for wheeling but not so handy for the drive home. Easy enough to fix though;

Too right! Dunno what kind of bird it was, an Emu or something I think 'cos it's gigantic. Fortunately, over here, that's the wife's side!

We shut the whole city of Winchester, VA down to celebrate the apple.
(Apple Blossom Festival) And the first day of Hunting Season is an excused absence.
