My wife took the KJ on a local wheeling trip in Mass yesterday (I was stuck at work  ). Minimum trail requirement 31" tires + at least one locker. Everyone had at least 33's except one XJ on 31's. There are no bypasses. Scraped up the freshly painted rockrails

A little carnage.

Here's a few pics

That color is "salsa red" They only offered that color for the 1st 6 months in 2002. They added it again in 2005 or 2006

Detours did the install on the Backbone 8) Our KJ was the prototype for the KJ backbone.

The XJ in the photos has one too...

He has the shop up and running again http://www.detoursusa.com/

The winch is a Superwinch X9000 with MasterPull synthetic line. (Detours is a Superwinch dealer as well  )

The new Rusty's gas tank skid was well used on this trail. Last time on this trail (without the skid) the KJ got hit so hard that the fuel pump dislodged from the bottom of the tank

Yep - that was Ma - it's getting over-used lately. There were 3 other clubs there that day... BTW - The bypasses on the left are off limits now.

Great photos! I'm jealous of your Salsa Red color. I like my Patriot Blue just fine, but I really regret not choosing Salsa Red back in '02.

I saw a front tire spinning on one of those pictures. Glad you didn't pop your front diff!

Thanks for sharing.

ARB in the back - would put one in front if it wouldn't kill the D30A

The rear was unlocked on that action shot
