'08 KK with Borla exhaust, Lineage Ground Kit, and CAI

Here are some updated pics of my performance upgrades. I've got a Blinglights carbon fiber Cold Air Intake (which is actually really good, and cheaper the the other $300 models), Lineage Motorsport Grounding kit (the silver 4 gauge wires), and Borla Pro XS exhaust with Silverline chrome dipped stainless steal tip (I will get a sound clip really soon.) So what do we think?

Great looking KK and great performance mods, very tastefully done. Interesting looking intake. I was looking at getting a K&N cold air intake here soon. How might you compare yours to K&N?

lol, seminole plate cover hatting. I haven't followed college much lately but if it were a NY Yankees or Anaheim Angels then I'd get all worked up.

But lovely pictures especialy the one with the mechanic under the hood. There are times where I wish mine was that clean looking. But back to my R/C car racing days I remember the work I did to lower the internal resistance of the electric system and how it helped, but I imagine with the extra grounding it would at least clear up the system a little bit and makes sense, but I don't have the knowledge on electric systems to that degree.

Thank you for the comments. As far as comparison to the K&N.... the K7N is around $300...I found this Blinglights CAI on ebay and offered the guy $60, and he took it. I figured that since the intake will only really get you a little HP and hopefully some MPGs I couldn't justify spending $300. And I can really feel the difference, especially on the start with this intake. Instead of using a huge filter which pulls in hot air as well (even if there is a heat sheild) there is a cone filter behind the carbon fiber which opens to a 3.5 inch opening from which is sucks in air. And OMG does this thing suck air!!! I have it set up in my factory air box, right behind the "ram air" opening from the grill, that way it gets mostly cold air as you drive.

PS - Go SEMINOLES!!!!! haha :lol:

lol thats my fiance, she's not so happy about how much I put into my Jeep.........but she loves to help put on the parts!! GO NOLES!!

Holy moly dude, you've hit the jack pot. Take care of both, love and cherish them and they will return you with much love for years to come! I hit the jackpot a couple years ago. I got my wife (then girlfriend) to buy a Jeep Liberty in April '04, I then married her, and just last month she got a new vehicle and the Jeep is now my daily driver. LOL.

I'd ask if she (your fiance) had a sister but wife frowns upon that sort of activity... <snicker>

I love the exhaust!!! I left the resonator on so that it wouldn't be too raspy. I am a fan of really deep sounding exhausts, and bc the resonator is just a strait through pipe it worked out really well and doesn't compromise performance. I can deffinatly tell a difference around 3500 rpms through the power band. As far as MPGs, I dont know yet. This is the first tank that I will have my exhaust, intake, and ground kit on, so when I fill up later in the week I will be sure to get back to you and let you know what they turned out. I will tell you that I am at 170 miles, and I'm just past the half way mark (and I drive all city miles). I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THAT WITH MY 22s!!! So I'm excited to see what the total is here in a few days.

They say that they are more for torque than hp, but I figure a little extra torque to help get my wheels moving has to help my mpgs.......right?

now you need to get rid of the corrugated intake tube going back behind the filter...the whole reason to stream line those it to have air moving as smoothly as possible...that tube with peaks and valleys is negating the intake somewhat. you need a nice smooth aluminum or PVC pipe going back from the filter LIKE what comes on the more expensive ones. It will only help.

The B&G flash is $350 + $350 for the Fastman TBS = $700
The Jet Chip is $230 + $105 for the TBS = $335 thats why

If I was building a race car I would deffinatly go with the B&G and Fastman, but its just a jeep, and I just want a little extra power and mpgs. Thanks for the suggestion though.
