Maxxis Big Horn 265/75R16 8 Ply

They are a LOT quieter than the MTR's when they were brand new.

They are running smoother than the MTR's.

They cost a lot less than new MTR's....except the MTR's I had gotten originally.

Looks awesome man, whats the lift and tire size?

Man Joe, that thing just looks awesome. The lift makes the 265s look like a reasonable size:D

When ya gettin a front bumper?

The Maxxis Buckshots really impressed me, but I think the Bighorns just look better. Time to check availability in a 235/85:D

It almost looks like Troy's CV sneezed on your left front wheel a little bit, too. Or is that just mud?

Joe, looks good. When can we get a side by side pic next to Troy to see who is taller now? Just curious, why did you go with a rear bumper first instead of the front. For the most part it has been the other way around from most of the pics I have seen of other guys with aftermarket bumpers. Gotta start somewhere I guess. Good choice. :)

ThunderbirdJunkie, I just realized where the quote in your signature is from. Hilarious movie!

We should be pretty close to even since my 265's are half worn now.

Looking good Joe.

To answer the question about the rear bumper before the front:

I have been waiting for Rock Lizard to finish up the front bumper prototype. I got the second generation prototype rear from Rock Lizard and waiting on the front prototype II. Or is it now III, Marty?

3.) Still getting some great use on my rig! Thanks

13.) How do you like the polks? That's what I'm planning on putting in mine next week with their 2 ways for the rear.

The sound system is great. The Polks have great tweeters, at least in a component set up. The only thing lacking is deep bass. I can live with it since the overall sound is great. Separations and sounds not audible from stock are very clear now.

Glad to hear about the hitch.

I am only using two of the strut plates that were provided and using the original CV's. No grinding down.

I had no issues in 4 Lo.

Once Rock Lizard finishes the front bumper, I will probably add the two additional strut plates AND replace the CV's with the JBA versions.

I am also thinking about getting the longer adjustable rear control arms. So much to spend so little money. JEEP.

Future mods:

1. Rock Lizard front bumper (date?)
2. Install my Mile Marker PE8000 winch, that I bought two years ago for that front bumper. LOST group buy discount.
3. Adjustable Rear Control Arms
4. Buy ARB lockers for rear and possibly for the front (from a LOST member doing an SFA swap)
4. Install the 4.10's I bought back in late 07 along with the ARB lockers
5. CO2 Inflation system
6. JBA front CV's
7. Soft-top Convertible KJ (who knows?)
