well, i voted for lights on the roof. but, the pictures are a bit misleading. both pictures have lights on the bumper, and the one labeled "lights on the bumper" also has lights up on the bar. so is that what we're supposed to compare? lights on the bumper+bar vs. lights on the bumper+roof? might need to clarify a little.

but anyway, i do like the look of lights on the roof. lights on the bumper are cool to. but i really dont like the look of the lights up on the bar in the first pic. that seems out of place and would be detrimental to forward visibility.

I said on the roof too. I keep looking at my upper mounts on the ARB and am just not sure what to do with them. A CB comes to mind but not sure yet...

I fixed the question. Can't figure out how tio fix the poll itself. Hope this clarifies.

My problem with them up there on the roof is that the branches keep whacking them, and i end up with anti-aircraft spotlights.

Which is why I have never had lights on the roof, but in this situation the lights on top of the bar on the ARB look like they would be blocking your view so I would go on the roof.

I’d like lights on both but the option is not their. I don’t really like how the large round lights look on the roof (rack); that’s the reason I put Hella FF75 on my roof rack. But I sure do like the way a set of round Hella’s look on the bumper, just cause the match the Liberty’s headlights :D

I think that the lights on the front look too cluttered, for sure on the roof !

Am I the only one that thinks roof lights look kinda dumb?

Just curious.

But, looks way better with them on the roof than on top of the bumper's top bar

I think that they look goofiest on the front bumper. Not too bad on roof, but I think 2 more would make it look right. For some reason lights on the front of the ARBs look weird in that spot. I like them in that spot on my bumper though.

I like them on top of my bar and on the roof, just haven't found a good deal on a roof bar yet.

your bar is a lot lower then the ARB bar though. with yours, the lights stay below the hood line, and that is the key.

I voted for the roof. I have played with the idea of using those antenna tabs on my arb. I have lights UNDER the bar like most do on their arb's. Go figure that I like lights on the roof. I love the rene lights, just way too under powered.

Image

I have hit branches with them with no problems. I kind of keep it under 75 mph as i go down trails. Haven't broken or even knocked one of the 150 watt KC daylighters out of aim yet. and the Gecko rack with marty's tabs are rock solid.

good luck, and i recommend all the lights your state and local officials will let you get away with.

I actually had a local cop ask me to turn them on once at a traffic accident. he LOVED them and told me to just be careful where and when i use them. The Deer on the expressways around here love em too. freezes them in their tracks until i pass them.
