| Post subject: | Midnight Trail Run and Body Damage... |
Got together with some buddies late tonight and hit a short but difficult trail that was fun and challenging. Never took a strap, but rocks are not kind to doors. I took no pics, but my buddy took a ton, I'll post when he sends me the links. Maybe the size and build of the other rigs besides mine will give you an idea of how hard the trail was. I was by far the least built rig, but that made it more fun. Good times, need to run it in the daylight. and yes, I know

The Rover did good. It has an ARB front and a Toyota E-Locker in the rear, on 33s. It is built really well. He needed a winching, then he repositioned and went right up. It was a tough trail for sure, but tons of fun. There were 2 YJs on 37s, locked front and rear, a brand new JK Rubicon on 37s (this was his first run with the new jeep), a WJ on 33s locked in the rear (he was photog for the night so no pics of his rig), an XJ on 33s, and then a bunch of random Toyota guys showed up in 3 really built beater trucks when we passed their house on the way to the trail. There were 2 lines to take, me the Rover and the XJ went left, and the rest went right, and then the orange YJ went straight over everything. |

first picture, is it a air compressor or NOS tank on his cage??? |

I would say either a 15 to 20 pound CO2 tank... But NOS would be cool |

It is a Powertank, not NOS. I am seriously considering bedlining my beltline now. |

do it! I love mine. Is that the only damage you got was there on the door? |

The door got the dent and scratches and the skids and rock rails were used and abused quite heavily as well. But the only carnage on my rig was the door. One of the random Toyota guy's truck wouldn't start and they tried to get it going and caught it on fire somehow. Fun night for sure. Got home @ 2am. If I intend t make a habit out of night wheeling I'm getting rock lights. |

KM2s seem to be pretty popular in your neck o' the woods. |

nice pics, looks like fun ... What was up with the busted yellow Toyota? It looks like it missing some suspension components and a few other components ... |

The KM2s are by far the most popular tire here locally. Everyone that runs them is more than happy with them. The trail rig toyota worked great and ran like a champ. It sure is ugly but as far as I could tell, it has all the parts it needs to do some serious rock crawling. |
