After reading the thread in the General Discussions section about the JP July 2009 issue, someone suggested we flood them with pics of hardcore trail pics that our KJ's are doing.

EDIT by Kugellager:Link to Original thread that prompted this thread.

With that in mind, if you send a picture starting now, of your KJ doing a tough trail (meaning your KJ looks like it is kicking butt on the trail), post the picture you sent to them, in this thread so we know what was sent and to look for it.

Post ONLY the pictures of your KJ that you sent to JP mag.

Here you all go. You have to fill out the release form for there to be any chance of it being pubbed in there magazine.

Go here for the details and/or fill out the forms and submit your photos with links #2 & 3.

If we are going to do this we have to do it right and get as many hard core shots of our KJs as possible in there. No lamish ones please.

WHAT WAS THIS VEHICLE BUILT TO DO? I built my KJ to take me wherever I want to go in Colorado safely – and that’s the key. This is not a $50k buggy as was never intended to be, but my KJ takes me just about wherever I want to go on any of the trails I choose in Colorado. I’m not going to get over a field of three-foot tall boulders like a buggy can, but you can bet I can go many places where most people would not think you can go with a KJ.

INTERESTING STORIES: I run with LOST Jeeps (www.lostkjs.com) . You would be surprised at the places we go with our so called “mall-rated” Jeeps. Much of my wheeling in the KJ was done before I put in the ARB’s in 2008. The included photo of my white KJ (License # 247-LYU) was taken on Chinaman Gulch in Colorado with front and rear open differentials. It would have been easier with lockers but it was done open.

We go up many trails getting smirks and come down getting surprised looks and maybe – just maybe - a little more realization that you can do more with a KJ than haul groceries. We certainly do not get a lot of respect from JP Magazine and others but we keep on plugging away with our vehicles where everyone else tells us we can’t. There are times when I have walked right up some rock or shelf that gives a wrangler trouble due to the shorter wheelbase.

The XJ got a lot of crap in the beginning too. Myself and others of LOST Jeeps are here to show what can be done in a KJ and to hopefully change the attitude of other people who wheel their 4x4’s.

I have also included several other photos I have taken of LOST Jeeps members wheeling in Colorado.

This is not a discussion thread. I will keep this cleaned up of pics only.

Pics of the pics you sent to JP mag (starting today, Saturday, 30 May) only. This is not a place to debate, discuss, complain, or whine. Go to JP mag online for that.

Well I don't know if these are what some here might consider lame, of course I hope those here aren't as anal as they are at JP magazine, but I made a point to submit my KJ too since I enjoy a JEEP off-road as much as the other's do. Not everyone climbs rocks and most off-road rags feature trail advertures so I submitted these and a brief description including the mods like skid plates and lockers, as well as being a proud member of LOST KJ's.
