Anyone have a Westin Bull Bar or any other type on their Liberty? I'd love to see some pics. I'm contemplating of getting one but not sure if it would look good. I have an '05 Renegade. |

The only thing I found that is as close to the Westin Bull Bar is the Monster Bull Bar... Runs for about $400 I believe. I know Westin is alot cheaper than that but then again this one is 3 inches compared to 1.5 or 2 inches Westin. This company also does custom work so you may want to contact them and give them ideas on what you are looking for. The website is http://www.monsterbumpers.com

$400 for a flimsy brush guard $900 for a REAL bumper... If you're gonna blow $400 on something...might as well blow $900 on something structurally sound... |

I've seen pics of the $800-$1,000 range ARB front bumpers and they seem like they would add a lot of front end weight to the vehicle. Anyone know how much they weigh? I'm not looking to slow the jeep down and burn up more gas since it's my daily driver. I found the Westin for $299 online and I can use the rest of the cash for other upgrades. |

100lbs isn't a lot of weight ... Think about how much weight you add if you take one or two people for a ride. That 100lb bumper will protect you 10 fold compared to a bull bar. |

That 100lb bumper will protect you 10 fold compared to a bull bar. that 100lbs includes mounting plates, brackets, hardware, lights, windshield washer bottle shield, drivers side shield, and bumper shell.. plus if you subtract the stock bumper/inner reinforement and lights.. that means your only adding about 80-85lbs. i feel bad for anything or anyone i hit |

Fine, get one...ain't ThunderbirdJunkie's ride home a brush guard still adds what, 50-60 lb to the front end? another 40 lb you could have an ARB. |

Yes, I know it's no ARB, but I kinda like it. I put it on a few days ago. I think it will look better with some Hella 500's...

I got it at a place I found online. autoaccessoriesgarage.com It was about $375 and free shipping (but it took over 2 weeks to arrive) It was the best price I have seen, and I think the black ones were cheaper than the chrome... |

I found the black ones for $299. Did you have to get a license plate relocater? |

Nope. That's where the license plate was originally. |

I guess there's no need for a relocater. Looks good! I'm thinking of getting the black one. Is it really heavy? How difficult is it to install? |
|

Not very heavy at all. The whole thing is about 35 lbs. Pretty easy to install too. About a 45 minute job. I think it was just 12 bolts total. 6 bolts between jeep and mounting bracket, and the rest between the bracket and the bull bar. |

Well, I was wrong about the Hella 500's. They are too big for the Westin. I ended up just getting Westin lights instead... Next is the OME lift and the 245/75/16's and it will start to look good...
