nice touch. i think it would look better if the fenders and bumper matched the rest of the vehicle though. :?

Yep!

Looks great Sean! What paint/color did you use? I have an extra grill laying around and I'm debating on what color to paint it.

Does it match the fender flare color? (hard for these old eyes to see in the pictures!)

Its a metallic gray metal spray paint I picked up at walmart. I think there was another color that was either lighter or darker but decided to try this one first. the trick to painting the grill is to wet sand paper it down really well to give a surface. I think I had two primer coats on it, 4 coats of gray and then something like 2 or 3+ layers of clearcoat. I did all of that to make sure that it didn't end up chipping or worn off by rain or anything over the years. the interior has matching paint to it but iv yet to take photos. I'm going for a 2 tone look to the whole thing.

they sort of match, the decals are a lighter color that they are easier to read. The spell out Forward Recon.

I think it looks pretty good, have you thought about doing some screening or something in the grill? I used an aluminum screening and painted it a dark black cherry and screened mine

didn't do it exactly how i wanted, couldn't get the slats to detach from mine and since my grill is already cracked i didn't try to force it but attached it behind the slatting

it's kept me from having to pop the grill and clean out the radiator now every time i drive through the swamp lol

I'v thought about it but Iv never gotten anything on the radiator and if I did I would need the wide openings to hose it out. There just isn't any water around here that deep that is safe to cross.

lol, when i said swamp i meant through the swamp on paved roads

most of the marsh/swamp around here takes one pass through and your vehicle looks like one of those glue/tape bug traps
