Put a coat of Meguire's NXT 2.0 on the cover, I use it on chrome and it works well. Looks good.

Good luck with those countersunk bolts. Mine require an Allen wrench that start to spin in the bolt head and I've yet to remove the cover since I installed it. Good thing the drain plug works.
