I finally got the guts to paint my spare wheel.

I think it turned out pretty good for the first go round.

That looks darn right SWEEETTT!!! Maybe I can talk wife into painting her's like that.
Did you just tape around the inner lip and then paint? What color did you use? I like it!

Awesome! Looks like a gunmetal or charcoal color. I'm getting ready to flip the ugly silver wheels out with some Charcoal rennie wheels on the dark green jeep.

Looking good!! One suggestion... get some stud and put 2 dummy lug nuts on to get rid of the ugly holes. It's an easy mod....

I just did my rears today

i cleaned the wheels first then taped off the desired area then sprayed the wheel with 2 coats of bulldog then applied paint

Boiler
i just did the spare for a trial run, and no i dont rotate in my tire is different.

I used duplicolor wheel paint dark grey (gunmetal)

i will take pics when i get the rest of them done

What is bulldog and what tape did you use?

Bulldog Adhesion Promotor

It helps paint stick to just about anything.

Use green or blue painters tape.

thanks for the pic and yes i used green painters tape then used news paper to cover the tire. it was very easy, i think it is definatly an improvement over stock,

i have a badlands trip comming up soon and I think I want to wait to paint the other 4 for fear of scratching
