I had heard about it being built but got to meet David the owner/builder today. He is a member of the Northwest Ohio Crawlers and they had a Meeting/Show today at a local Jeep dealership. 30/35 combo using a Grand Cherokee lift kit on 35s. Here's a couple of shots from there ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and just a pic of a JK on 40s

This is a really nice set-up. Like Tom said used a GC donor and Iron Rock Off Road long arm kit as the base. Sitting on 35's right now with 4.56's ....... Sweeeeeet. Lots of nice rigs in this group!!!!! |

First one I've seen that didn't use coil overs in the front. That is kinda interresting!!! |

JeepBumm68 wrote: Is he using regular coils up front on non wide track axles? Yep,and lok at the front coils closely in the below pic.............. ![]() You will see that they bend inwards since they are virtually rubbing on the unibody, bet he has some fun noises with them. Granted great to see another SFA KJ but a D35,come on there barely able to keep together under a stock TJ. |

It's actually built on a Grand Cherokee lift kit. I guess he wanted the narrower wheel base |

I was actually contemplating trying to fab up a front protection bar (with optional winch mounting) just like that (but possibly with a bolt-on section that extends down to the front mounting point for the factory front skid so would get a little more rigidity). Any thoughts on that mounting? I'm guessing that if it doesn't have at least one more mount to triangulate the stress of a winch or tow point, it's going to flex a lot in those 2" receivers. I'd love to get a hold of this guy and pick his brain on the build. Dan |
