Even though I managed to somehow grenade another D30a front diff, I did manage to have lots of fun right up to the point the damage happened. Got several pics and even 1 video.

Look close in the one pic where you see me hooking up the tow strap, at the bottom of the pic you see the oil slick. Happened on the big hill climb where I'm straddling the ruts. Had a good line, then when the rear tires tried to climb the little rock ledge you see my front tires on, it bumped me sideways and fell into and high centered hard on top of the rut. The sudden stop of forward progress (no spinning tires involved) combined with hitting the front skid right where the diff was, exploded the carrier.
