I searched and didnt see one. I think it would be good for people thinking of buying a liberty to see what they can do offroad stock. If you have any photos post them up!

Ok, here ya go. Ours is a (mostly) stock '06, and we've had a lot of fun with it. By "mostly" I mean General AT2 245-70r16 all terrain tires, Mopar skid plates and Mopar tow hooks. No lift, no rock rails (yet).

Image
This image was shot at a local offroad park in NE Ohio called Jeepskool.

Image
Another Jeepskool shot, as my wife prepares to descend from a hill.

Image
She made it down in one piece.

On the road from Ophir Pass to Telluride in SW Colorado.

Somewhere along the Arches Four Wheel Drive Road in Arches National Park, Utah.

Image
Somewhere near the top of Long Canyon, near Pucker Pass, on our way back from Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah.

Image
Navigating across some rocks on the road to Engineer Pass, near Ouray, Colorado.

Image
Descending from Imogene Pass, between Telluride and Ouray, Colorado.

Along the White Rim Trail in Canyonlands National Park, along the edge of Monument Basin with Grand View Point in the background.

Image
Along the road to Chicken Corners, near Moab.

Image
Somewhere along the Last Dollar Road northwest of Telluride, Colorado.

This is what happens when you try to test your new tires out in your Amish neighbor's woods and you end up getting stuck.

Take it out. Have fun with it. Get it dirty. Your Jeep will appreciate it.

Sorry about the one giant image in my previous post...I thought they were all the same size.

There's a couple of posts I made last fall ("Respect the Liberty" parts 1-5) that chronicled our trip out west that have a whole bunch more images, some of which I posted in the previous post. My HTML-fu is weak, so you'll have to dig them up yourself.

(edit: as Emily Latella used to say, "Never mind." - I resized the mongo-image)

Yeah, funny you should mention that.

Image
Photo taken mere seconds after we realized that having the sunroof open while trying to strap somebody out of the mud was a bad idea.

Image
Here's my hat. There was a perfect clean silhouette of my upper body on my mud-speckled seats. I got 98% of it out, but didnt get all the splatters washed off the inside of door near the window. A coworker pondered how the outside was clean but the inside had mudsplats.

I learn something new every time I go offroading.

I added full Mopar skids, but that isn't anything you couldn't get from the factory. Tires and wheels are not stock, but similar to stock as far as size and type. I've since added Mopar tow hooks also.

hi there,
i see you fix some extra lights directly on the stock bumper. Can you tell me how you did it ? stright through the plastic or through the metal under it ?
cheers

Hi!

I removed the bolt from the "U" bracket at the bottom of the light. I then welded the "U" bracket to the largest washer I could find at Lowes. I then used double sided tape to attach the lights to the bumper. It is pretty strong and I didn't have to drill through my bumper.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit... the trails we roll on stock will eat you up and spit you out if you make a wrong move. Look what happened to this guy:

Image

But Seriously. Here I am on top of that mountain. Some steep, lots of rocks, sometimes you feel like you're going to pee blood when you're done with that trail. Surprised I've never had to replace a cv or ujoint with all the jarring that trail makes:

Image

And apologies for the really bad camera work (my friend, what can you do), but here's a video of me stock offroading through football sized rocks.

I believe that is the Timer Timer - Terry. (Fulltimer) That's a pretty old pic, he has a custom bumper now and I think he ditched the roof rack.
