I just got my front windows tinted with 30% film. I wish I'd done it a long time ago. I think it's a pretty good match for the factory security tint on the rear windows. Took some quick before/after pictures in the driveway so people who are thinking about it can get an idea of what 30% looks like.

i got 30% on front and 5% on every other glass.....i love the dark windows, my 2 yearold isnt complaining its "HOT SUN" |

Looks good. I'd love to do that to my KJ, but cops around here like to harass anyone with tinted windows. |

I had mine tined a shade lighter than the rear glass not long after I got it. I think it looks nice, helps cut down the glare offf the sun for me and keeps the inside cooler. I didn't go as dark the rear for two reasons I had a car done that way before when I got it and when its real dark out with no lights around its not easy for me to really see out in detail and I didn't want trouble with the local police departments. If you drive around the burbs here with dark windows they tend to assume you are either doing drugs or selling drugs and find a reason to pull you over, then issue a warning card for the tint with 10 days to comply and remove it. I wanted it to be darker than stock but look more like it always was like that so I'd be left alone. I am going out to wash it so I will snap a pic and post it up later. Here is what mine is tinted like.

Against a lighter background I can tell that the fronts are a little lighter than the rears. That's what I was going for originally. |

At first I was a little worried when I got the tires because the previous owner had the front bumper trimmed (also a CRD) and I really didn't want to let these tires slip away. I also didnt want to start hacking away at the bumper because I want to keep the lines clean of the liberty until I decide to MAAAYBE get an ARB bumper but thats waaaay down the line. Anyways.. The only things I did to fit these in was the pinch weld and some trimming of the front fenders and the rub on the sway bar at full lock but that's something you get used to not doing with in the first week. |

before  after, 50% front. weak. i know. the girlfriend works at the cop-shop and she'll be driving it more this winter. ugh. owell. oh, i added a visor too.  i've been tinting for 10yrs now... i've given up on the law and stuck to legal limits on our cars now. |
