I took a real grenade that was emptied and made it into my new shift knob! first figured out how to get the boot and old knob off. Then how to get the boot off the knob. then drilled the frag grenade.. secured it.. took off the top and trimmed the inside so it could go down where it needed to be. then fixed everything (top flipper and carter pin/ring) so that it wont rattle. Now it is tight, silent, and the perfect weight :) not bad for something i got at a gun show for $5!

thanks! i have a good system down now for making them.. i'd hook you up with one if A. your jeep wasnt the wrong color. and B. it wasnt a *gasp* automatic! :goink: :BANANA:

hahaha.. hopefully that doesnt happen!! i'll prob. get a fine for every 'fog light' above legal height (6 of them) and bumpers above legal height, and tinted windows... and probably a grenade for a shift knob! the cob would looooove me! hahaha

I too have a 6 speed. Any suggestions on what would make a good shift nob for me?

What are your interests. From that pick something cool/ unique. Imagination is the only limit. Things I have thought about if I was to get a stick shift.

Mortar shell
Cane handle
Wooden pistol grip
2 way radio mic
Hockey stick
Hockey puck
Bronzed baby shoe
Motorcycle grip/ parts

Beer taps handles work great as well
or used to on some of my older cars,
or what they call "rat rods" now :roll:

have a few laying around that would still work
