Found an awesome trail that goes from ridge rd in Ontario new york and you end up in west walworth. well you can keep going and end up in macedon but it was was very deep stuff and lots of water. i had the kj in 2 wheel for most of trail and just throttled it the whole time while my friends 2004 gmc sierra z71 had to be in 4wd. i am amazed at how well this little jeep does in the mud with stock lift and BFG All Terrain TKO's. We both ended up getting stuck, i lost momentum and buried the jeep, luckily my friend owns the farm down the road and pulled me out with his huge tractor because nobody else could make it out as far as me with out getting stuck.



this is how far off the road on this side of the trail we were and kind of shows what i had to go through to get were i was stuck. when i got out of the jeep the mud and water was up to my knees on the drivers side, not as bad on the passenger side.

Yep, they are incredible little diesels. You sure did get stuck but maybe if you'd had mud tires and little more momentum you'da made it through.

I went on a trail ride couple years ago in the AZ. desert way up in the mountains on what's called the Mohave Trail. Was an old pony express and wagon trail in the 1800's protected by the U.S. Calvary. Old fort up in the mountains some of it still there. Took a trip up there with 2 other friends with Jeeps, one a CJ the other was an 07 Rubicon. Last couple miles to the fort were very rough and slow going very loose rock and ruts like driving in a dry creek bed and uphill not drastically steep, but steep in some places. I was the 3rd Jeep in the pack. Both the Rubi and the CJ had to use 4 low those last couple miles. i did the whole way in 4 high, just a 1-2 mph crawl keeping moving and momentum in the loose rock and tough spots. I swear by my 06 CRD in mud, soft sand, and loose shale. For me it has been the perfect on and off road vehicle without going real radical which I don't need.
