On Sunday (May 9th) i went down to the Canadian River with a friend of mine. I have a windshield mount for my iPhone 4 and decided to shoot some video. The vid is probably a little boring to some, and it is shaky at times, being mounted to my windshield... but I had fun and thought I'd share. Check it out and enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro2QaZCpjqc |

Cool I've driven 287 from Amarillo to Dumas several times (as part of trips from Austin to Colorado) and I've always wondered about all the trails I see. |

You should stop by and wheel around sometime. It's free and all they require is the State OHV sticker. Just take the exit and go! I am planning a trip to Colorado Springs in the summer and want to try out Eagle Rock Trail. I'll have a lift by then so hopefully it'll be fun. Anyone ever been there?? |

I bought my windshield mount from Best Buy just because it has a charger with it. I used to use it for GPS and stuff... but then on a road trip recently, it dawned on me that I could use it as a camera mount. You have to rotate it to landscape and the actual lens on the iphone 4 has to be towards the bottom. They discontinued the mount but I found an Amazon listing... CHEAP! You get a windshield mount AND a car charger! (great too because the video drains the battery so with this mount it charges it at the same time) http://www.amazon.com/Rocketfish-Mobile-Window-Mount-iPhone/dp/B004EO0V02 |

I was in Colorado Springs for 3 years (well I worked in the Springs - lived in Woodland park - up Ute Pass) occasionally drove Rampart Range or the Cheyenne Mnt blvd - up through to Cripple Creek, Victor. neither was difficult (We had a Datsun Station Wagon) but the views were awesome - everywhere. don't remember an Eagle Rock Trail - but the Lost Rockies folks were fairly active - check with them before you go. |
