On Sunday (May 9th) i went down to the Canadian River with a friend of mine. I have a windshield mount for my iPhone 4 and decided to shoot some video. The vid is probably a little boring to some, and it is shaky at times, being mounted to my windshield... but I had fun and thought I'd share.

Check it out and enjoy!

Cool

I've driven 287 from Amarillo to Dumas several times (as part of trips from Austin to Colorado)
and I've always wondered about all the trails I see.

You should stop by and wheel around sometime. It's free and all they require is the State OHV sticker. Just take the exit and go!

I am planning a trip to Colorado Springs in the summer and want to try out Eagle Rock Trail. I'll have a lift by then so hopefully it'll be fun. Anyone ever been there??

I bought my windshield mount from Best Buy just because it has a charger with it. I used to use it for GPS and stuff... but then on a road trip recently, it dawned on me that I could use it as a camera mount. You have to rotate it to landscape and the actual lens on the iphone 4 has to be towards the bottom.

They discontinued the mount but I found an Amazon listing... CHEAP! You get a windshield mount AND a car charger! (great too because the video drains the battery so with this mount it charges it at the same time)

I was in Colorado Springs for 3 years
(well I worked in the Springs - lived in Woodland park - up Ute Pass)

occasionally drove Rampart Range or the Cheyenne Mnt blvd - up through to Cripple Creek, Victor.
neither was difficult (We had a Datsun Station Wagon) but the views were awesome - everywhere.

don't remember an Eagle Rock Trail - but the Lost Rockies folks were fairly active - check with them before you go.
