it seems as if you painted your plastics all around? what did you use?

At Home Depot in the spray paint department the have a truck bed liner spray and it's the best! If you over spray with it just let it dry and it evens it's self out. I love it. Not sure who makes it but I think it's rustoleum. It comes in a taller than normal spray can. Give it a shot. Test it out on something and you wont be disappointed.Good luck.

Well I have painted those things like 3 times, and used a different kinda paint each time. So any chips in the bumper you cant really tell because it would just show the old paint, but I did paint the part under the front and rear doors, the runner I guess you would call it, and anyway its got a few chips in it, and thats on metal. I would say that preparation is the ultimate key! I have done a lot of paint so I know what should be done and thats the thing is I didnt sand the metal or nothing so I would make sure you take the time to do that or you will end up taking all back off to paint it again. The plastic though I lightly sanded with a super fine grit after wiping all of it down with acetone to get everything off. So its up to you like I said that paint I used is very forgiving its really hard to get runs in it I have very few and you cant even see them unless your right on top of them, so take your time too. Good luck again man and I hope that some of what I said helps you out, I dont know enough to contribute any useful information, so its kinda nice to share a little bit.

No i understand. Thanks for the help. I might end up doing that soon. I would love to Line-X my plastics and about a foot around the whole bottom but that gets expensive. so i may end up going in this direction. may do this with a few different applications and maybe a good primer just to be safe. And yes, prep is key. I did my rims in a flat black and they are still holding up just bcz i did about a half hour of prep on each in just sanding it down.
