H2 gets messed up big time!

This H2 Hummer get messed up. Another reason to NOT EVEN BOTHER TRYING with one of these. :lol:

that looks like an expensive repair. I honestly see the H3 being the most trailable out of the lot.

Ya know it's interesting, the H2 is pretty good on paper, good approach/departure, clearance, etc, but 6000lbs of ANYTHING coming down on steering components like that on rocks... yikes. Didn't take much!!

yeah, the spotters did suck...he was coming up on the worst part of the section and they were chit chatting about some other dude messing up his ride in the same spot.

Nice of the spotter to tell him to stop reversing though.....yeah, real helpful man! :lol:

Most of the guys, if not all, that got stuck in the H2s could easily be because of driver error. I mean stuck in the snow? Come on... That's the oldest suburban gorilla story in the book... I've personally whitnessed some H2s take some pretty nasty trails right along side some land rovers and jeeps and be fine.

That being said... Each vehicle has it's limitations, and size and weight are definitely a problem for those!!! But especially that shot of the H1 getting stuck, HAD to be a F-up by the driver.

Wow, I had no idea that many people even tried to wheel those huge rigs. I've never seen one on the trails. Less is more definitly applies in this case.

Yeah the Land Rover offroad school recently added Hummers to their roster (the one in VT anyway) and they sometimes have owners groups come up for trail rides. See lines of a dozen or more hitting the trail together. The WIDE trail anyway

No offense man, but I wouldn't even mention land rovers in the same class as Jeeps. I know I know, we have all heard the debate before, but land rovers are just glorified foreign POS, bottom line. They stole their design back in WWII from the Willys MB (well right after the war) and now have turned it into a luxury sedan of sorts. There is ONLY ONE JEEP!

Most of y'all get tingles when you hear that phrase... :wink:

Hey I love jeeps as much as the next guy, but I've also driven a landrover Defender 90 offroad and gone over, around, up and thru some pretty nasty stuff with it that our KJs would have a hard time doing (stock anyway...). No intention of starting up age old debates, I'm just saying all the vehicles have their strengths and their drawbacks. If you're good and understand these factors, it makes a huge difference in what you can do.
