8.25 has a flat section on the bottom, D35 is round. Abs should mean it is a D35.

I have a 99 xj - how do i know which rear axle i have - doing alift A little in fo about xj Limited - with up country suspension Trac - lock Diff anti lock brakes selec trac full time 4wd anti lock brakes |

Without looking my bet is you have the 29spline 8.25. Same rear as the KJ. Parakeet |

It's a D35. 8.25 never had ABS on the XJ. |
