Hi all, As I said I have traded in my Liberty and bought an 06 4 Runner. The book states change oil at 5000 miles but some people recomend 3000 miles. Any thoughts, opinions, etc? Thanks, Kevin |

I say use a good full synthetic, and change it every 5000 miles, That is after the break in though, on a new engine, I always change it within the first 1000, then 3000, then 5000, and then every 5000 after that. Maybe extreme but everything I have owned goes over 200K, actually I have never had an engine die while I owned it. |

Yeah, what he said. 
Seriously though, I would run Amsoil oil and filters in it and go up to at least 15,000 miles using the severe duty service interval. PLMK if you need any more info. |
