| Post subject: | Speed Sensor Relocater found (maybe) |
Since most are changing out the rear axles during an SFA and loosing the speed sensor has anyone seen the Speed Sensor Relocater made by Brea Auto Electric? I stumbled upon this while looking for something for a customers project The OEM magnetic sensor is attached off the transfer case using their hardware or owner supplied brackets . They have a disk that locates at the rear of the transfer case or transmission on 2 wheel drives. Still haven't gotten a email/website yet but phone number is 714-256-2412, Brea Auto Electric, will update when I find more info if no one has heard of them yet. update on website www.breaautoelectric.com Tom |

looks to have potential, but what if a rock hits it, or how will mud affect it? |

Looks very open to get damaged.Would look kinda ugly and very hilly-billy type of install to me.Good idea just not very practical for a offroad vehicle. |

Well since I have always been very proud of being a hillbilly (having been raised in the Appalachian area of the United States ) I sort of take that as an insult, but know what you mean in a way I think it would work as well as some of the other crap they are hanging on new vehicles such as ABS etc. Also it would be on the end of the transfer case which is hopefully protected by a good skid. Lots of 4 WDs have PTO shafts/ E Brakes etc there so why not this, it would work as well as anything else I have seen Now maybe not for a full on mud buggy but then who cares about MPH anyways with them! |

It will work with a slip yoke, but not with a SYE kit. I found this kit when I was looking for JJ. |
