You know i have a question. I heard from some guy on c04x4, that we can use JK stock control arms for are sfa lifts. Would they work? if not would like say JK mid level control arms, which i believe are stretched like 3 or 4'', work? |

There short arms(the stock ones),would be a very rough ride for the amount of lift required to SFA a KJ(they would be darn near vertical when you want them closer to horizontal),not to mention the fun fabbing mounts for them. |

ok thanks. I just have been looking at using possible mid to long arms from the jks. you can usually find them cheaper than tjs for some reason. I wish i could find a place where i can get some dom tubing though. |

The JK arms are longer and stronger than TJ ones. They would work, but lik Troy said they aren't long enough to really make driving comfortable. I know several people that wheel their TJs hard with short arm RE kits and love them, but on a loner wheelbase vehicle I wouldn't do it. I think the mounts wouldn't be terrible, because you can get the weld on brackets from Ballistic, but the cons outweigh the pros IMO for everything else. |

I got mine from Glaser Steel on the south side of the springs, then again virtually all my steel comes from them.Marty may more about steel prices around here then me,I just dish out the $$$.DOM has gone up massively in the last year.I bought my DOM right before the big price spike last December,I saved about 1/3 over what the prices are now on a 24' stick of 1 1/4" 0.281 walled DOM compared to what USAFCOP paid just weeks ago.

I was going to make my own arms but after pricing them out, I would have saved a couple hundred bucks, but they weren't warrantied and not as nice and finished as the Rubicon arms. I figured the extra few hundred was worth it, but then again I got a really great deal on the Rubicon Express arms. |

Yeah and RE's arms are Chromoly tubing, you think DOM is expensive you'll see sticker shock on Chromoly.Quote: Really wow. What did ted pay this week for his dom tubing.
