Well since I'm dropping to 15's I'm getting the 4.5" BS,all my rubbing inthe front is do to my new "softride" SkyJacker coils(replacing them soon to with custom HD's) the rear I don't even get half of my total flex before my tires are jammed in my flares.Hoping the more backspacing(3.75" to 4.5") and running 31's will net more rear flex.I did pound down my front pinch welds to or my front tires would not even turn when I mounted them.

I'm having a hard time finding a 15"X8" with 4.5" of backspacing. Right now I'm considering going to 4.750" backspacing in the rear. Which is only a quarter inch offset out from the stock rim if you take in the extra inch of width and my brain is turned on.

Adding the 1/2" pucks in the rear almost eliminated the rub, but I tried it out and still have a touch of rubbing..........and trust me the suspension was banged out going through a ditch.

One of the other problems is that when you lift a KJ you move the rear wheels forward. I'm adding Rubicon Express SuperFlex adjustable lower control arms and having a custom adjustable top link fabbed up. So, I'll probably wait and see what that does before I purchase new wheels.

I don't think I've ever rubbed up front, not once.

A month or so ago I was discouraged and sounded about like you, Jeepjeepster, take some deep breaths and you'll be alright.

One of the problems is we are dealing with a relatively new platform that doesn't have much aftermarket interest. Many of us are trying to figure all this stuff out, when we try something new..........it may or may not work.

Now I have to go install my Detroit TrueTrac and LBJs...........hopefully I'll be able to actually get out and wheel this thing (the way I expect it to perform) by September.

Don't forget about taking a hammer to the pinch weld and a heat gun to the front. You may be able to push the plastic out enough to not rub as much.

03 Freedom with some neat stuff done to it that I learned about here.

Called All J's and bought me some daystar rear bumpstops, then about 2 hours later my dad walks in the door(as said, I live in ky so coal mines are everywhere and my dad just happens to be over our local prep plant) with a piece of rubber that is perfect for making a bumpstop from! I may sell the daystars on here and get my money back. Anyone need some?
