I have an 02 KJ I am going to put a Rusty's 2.5 lift on, the whole strut spring shock lift, NOT the spacer. I found tires at a steal of a price but they are 265/75/R16 BFG AT tires. There is a guy running Destination AT that are 265/75/R16 and he is only having rubbing issues at full lock.

So will these fit the KJ with the Rusty's lift?

Yes,but if using the stock rims you will have rubbing and need to trim alot(will rub on front swaybar and UCA's at full lock).Either get 1.25" wheel spacers or different rims with about 4.5"-5" BS,that will get rid of alot of trimming/rubbing but you will still need to do some.The pinch weld in the rear of the front wheel wells will need to be pounded over(a must) and some front bumber trimming will be needed.I had to cut out my whole foglamp area to make room for my 265's.

they'll fit, but youll need to add a clevis lift as well to the front and extra spring pads in back possibly.

also, bear in mind that those tires may affect your performance.

i run that size in destination a/t. love the tires, but they are certainly big.
i have clevis lift, spring isolators and no inner fenders on the front.

Dang I forgot to ad that I was already planning on doing the clevis too.

So they won't fit on the stock wheels. I have a Limited so I have different wheels than the Sport but they are still a no go. The only reason I had orginally planned on sticking to the Limited wheels is because I already have them and I assumed they were lighter than aftermarket wheels. Thus by adding a larger tire I wouldn't be adding as much weight that I would if I was adding a larger tire and a larger wheel. I was always told extra wheel/tire weight is evil and I assumed that was the same case on the KJ.

If I need 4.5-5" of backspacing would they work on the wheels that are on the new JK? A guy in my club is getting ready to take his JK wheels off, and they are 16" but I don't know the back spacing.

The reason all this came up is I found a guy that has a full set of BFG AT's 265/75/16 for like $100. Which if the tires will work I can spend the money saved on getting the right wheels I need.

The tires will fit on the stock rims,just with the stock rims having 5.5" BS the tires will rub on the swaybar and UCA's at full lock,you need to space out the rims(with wheel spacers) or get rims with a different BS so as not to ruin the tires with the rubbing,unless you can live with it.

Oh the new JK's have a different bolt patern then the KJ,the JK's have 5 on 5 bolt patern and the KJ's have a 4.5 on 5,now 16" rims from a TJ will work just not from a JK.

So the wheels of a 06 Rubicon will work? Those are Moabs right? I saw a set of those for sale for $300 but I didn't get the backspacing. They were off an 06 Rubicon and they were 16's though.

Yes those rims will work off a '06 Rubicom,those are the MOAB's and there BS is 5",but the rims are 16x8 compared to the 16x7 OEM rims.
