Alright, I got a set of tires in mind, not ordered yet, will be getting them for April likely. I'm looking at the BFG Mud-Terrain KM2's in 235/70/16. I'm pretty sold on these beastly looking tires, so if you guys can give me all the good and bad, that would be great :)

You can save enough money buying these instead to almost buy your OME lift. 8)

lots of other great tires out there that are less than a 1000 bucks for 4 You talk about saving and not having the money and then want 250 each for tires ??? Not sure I would spent that on those

I can find those in a 33x12.5x15 for less than 200 a tire. Great tire, but from the sounds of it I'm not sure they'd be the right tire for you. I mean, they are sweet tires, one of the best off road tires on the market today, but from most of your other posts where you state things seem really tight money wise I think you'd be just as happy with a much less expensive MT like those treadwrights posted earlier. But I understand getting what you want instead of just getting something that will work.

I agree with Inc great tire you have picked out but with you tight on money , ( as we all are!!) then wanting to lift and change out tires in 6 months or a year I would look at either a size and brand that I could sell quickly or something cheaper

just my thoughts

Well, the long/short of it is I want a good tire, and if I get this tire, I wont need to replace it when I lift, which might not be for a year. Basically, I'm putting the lift on hold, getting some other stuff done, jeep and personal, and then, down the road, re-evaluate the lift. And heck, if it works out that in a years time, I am lifted, I will have tiny tires, but, I will still have great tires :)

Have you considered a set of 245/70 16's? Small enough to fit onto a stack height KJ but it is still taller than the 235's you have picked out now, and won't look quite as small when you do get lifted.

My worry is the spare. I want to get 4 tires 5, would 235/70/16 work for a spare on 245/70/16?

Are those treadwright just retreads? How is the quality on those? Those goodyears look good but how they perform?

i used to use retreads on the rear of my T/A cause the rubber was softer and got better traction, should prove better on rocks ya??
