ok so i think i have it narrowed down to BFG and Nitto Terra Grappler they seem to be around the same price i have to diside which of the two and AT or MT

AT's are not going to get you very far down the trail in FL. Stick with an MT or get yourself some tow hooks and straps and a winch and waders......

Chinese trash. I wouldn't put my life on the line as an everyday driver; maybe a trail tire on a trail rig.

The Toyo's are real popular in the NW and seem to wear well with good street manners. Even though I am a huge Super Swamper fan I think most of their selection is overkill for a liberty. The Mickey Thompson Baja Claw seems to be a good tire and I had the KM2's on my work truck, they seemed to carry that heavy utility box through the Colorado sticky mud pretty well.

ok i found brig firestone 210679 PA100 LT OWL LT265/75R16 C112s on sale for like $102.00 any one know if these tires are any good for the trail

Procomp's are made by Cooper Tire in Findlay, OH... I run their Extreme M/T's on the JK and they work well in the PNW on the Rocks and Mud, They run great on the street, and are nearly as quiet as my BFG TA/KO's.

ok i found BFG MT for 95 bucks 113 shiped but they only fit 17s i have been told i can get steel wheels for like 55 bucks each but that guy is MIA (I think he might be on somthing) any one on here know where i can find 17 wheels that will fit the kj for that price

Steelies run between 35 and 60 bucks depending on size and styles. But... I've only ever seen one size in a 17" diameter, and it was chrome...

and 130 bucks too...

yes these have been sugested to me by several pepole on here but know one i know has ever herd of them how are they in the rain how long do they last i need more info

Still think you should check out the Good Year Dura Tracs. But that's just my opinion. I have about 2k on mine now and still love them.

you only have 2k on them let me know what you think after 15k or i have had good year on jeeps a camaro and they slide all over the road when its wet i always thout it was me until i changed tires i will never ever put good years on any of my vehicle ever again but that just my opinion

i only put good year on the poll becouse is a major brand name and it comes on most jeeps

I always hated good year myself. Until I bought this jeep and it had Good Year Integritys on it. well to make a long story short. I had a blow out, Good Year ended up buying back the set towards another Good Year Product and The MTR's are too loud for the amount of highway driving I do. So I opted for the Dura Tracs. Amazing in mud, great on wet roads, and about as loud as a worn set of BFG AT kO's.

It really depends on:

1) how much off-road driving you are going to be doing,
2) how intense the off-road driving will be that you intend on doing,
3) how much you are willing to spend,
4) and how much compromise you are willing to make between on-road and off-road driving.

JLRockies has the right suggestion where possible -- one set of tires for on-road and one for off-road

Other than that it is a compromise between:

1) on/off-road performance,
2) tread wear,
3) and price.

Sorry there just is not a tire that is good at everything and for everywhere. :wink:

The top-rated AT tire on Tire Rack are Firestone Destination A/Ts. Why? They are great on-road and fair off-road. For my use they did not cut it -- I burned through a set in less than 10K miles. Why? Even though 90% of my KJ use is on-road, when I do off-road, I go moderately difficult places. These tires could not cut it.

My solution -- General Grabber AT2s. More aggressive off-road than the Destination A/Ts, cheaper than the BFGs, and (we will see how they wear) but their warrantee is better than the Duratracs, BFGs, SAs, or Revos.

In your case, I think the Treadwright choice might be best.

That is a good looking set of shoes. I have the BFG AT and love them. I had some Yoko's on and they just got eaten up on the trails I ride. I was looking to get General Grabbers but have heard some very bad things about them here in the desert *shrug*. My ATKO's are doing great but they are also Load E.

ok i have sopoken to several peole and a member of my club Roll Bar (jL rokys you know him i can listen to him write thats ok) sweres by tread write

any way he said get the OTR mud terrain not the ultra grip, work fine @ hwy speeds and will buy again ask for BFGs for the side wall stranth and to have them put the retead on the sids too somthing like that

any way my last question im running stock wheels the local tire places were giving me quots for 265/75/16 that should make them 31.9s will thows fit a lifted liberty comfortubly

You will need to do trimming and you will have rub on the swaybar and/or the UCA's using stock rims with 265/75's.

Depends on the lift...but mostly...

With stock wheels, 245/75-16s. If you're ONLY running OME HDs all around, this is the biggest tire ThunderbirdJunkie would recommend

With aftermarket 16x7s with 4" BS, you can run 265/75-16s, but ThunderbirdJunkie would forsee fewer rubbing issues with a 235/85-16
