If your going forged go with Alcoa or Weld rims, they seem to be the better ones, not cheap though.

I recently saw a show on Speedvision channel that profiled the new Alcoa alum rims that bead mud off them. They're amazing wheels. Oh and fwiw, Weld wheels are now actually American Racing Wheels. Last year the Weld family sold the business just before the founder passed away. The youngest son (Brock Weld) now has his own wheel company in Southern California called BMF Wheels.

As for breakage, I've broken a couple on the drag strip over the years.

And as for the cast wheels that came on Limited - POS wheels. I'm looking forward to steel wheels as soon as I am lifted.

I wanted to pass on my experience with Renegade rims. I was having leaks around the bead on the tire that happens to be mounted on my front driver side wheel at the moment. The tire shop I went to cleaned up the rim (I drove the Jeep as a daily driver until I became unemployed and it had N.E Ohio crap on it. I switch off with my parents contour to save gas), painted the inside with a charcoal black colored substance, aired it up remounted and rebalanced it. I was given the impression this is an aluminum wheel issue. My buddy sells aftermarket wheels and tires at his shop. I noticed that most if not all of the aftermarket aluminum rims that he sells are painted inside (where the tire bead is)
