first few pictures in that album are from the front fenders and what i cut out, how they hit with 1.25 spacers and 265-70-16's general grabber at2's.

This is the rear completely stuffed with a frankenlifted CRD and the rear sway bar removed.

Cool.

I finally did a little test fitting with a 265/70 myself. I was primarily concerned with the fit in the front end, though it's obvious that the rear end is going to rub the inside wheel well liner unless I use good bumpstops. Here are some front end fitment pics:

Sway bar doesn't rub

Ball joint/upper control arm is VERY close, but doesn't rub

Pinch weld doesn't rub

Front fender liner doesn't rub very bad...there is some light rubbing if the Jeep is flexed

I might shim the front wheels outward just a tad to make a little more room for the UCAs...though it's not a must. And again, I obviously will have to use rear bumpstops to keep the tires out of the fender liners. But... THEY WORK GREAT! And this width looks 5,694,539 times better than 245s.

I think mine rubbed because they're a more aggressive tire. I didnt change any of the bumpstops from the kit, and obviously at full flex the rears rub on the plastic, but only barely, so it leaves a few scratches but nothing i care about too much. when the front do get compressed enough, it barellyyy taps the top of the fender lining in the front. So imo none of the bumpstops have to be extended to prevent any crucial damage :2cents:

What do you think about the 265s as they pertain to the stock rims? I mean, we're talking an eleven inch tire on a seven inch wheel. Most 265s list the 7" wheels as the absolute minimum width allowed. After driving on these, they seem "wallowly" to me. I suspect it may be because there's just so much width on the narrow wheels.

Do you have any trouble with yours? Does everybody with 265s generally agree that the width is fine on our stock wheels?

I never have had a problem with them and i dont really notice the difference to the 245-70's that were on before, minus the fact that they didnt whine like hell  . I've had mine aired down to 20PSI at rausch and they never showed a sign of popping off. and for on road i run them at about 40 PSI and they're always okay.
