Those are really ugly tires.
I have a hard time with "green" marketing when much of the hype has little to do with anything but slapping a "green" name on something, and otherwise no change. Show me the facts/figures on how it saves, and I don't care what you call it.
KW AV8R, thanks for doin' whatcha do, man. I spent a few years military, then another 10 years working in a fielding/program management office (the office downstream from the guys fielding trucks). Based on the way funding is going, I would not hold my breath waiting for these to appear in the motor pool.
Inc, the guys's a warrant. In actual fact, if it rolls, he's seen it. He's just being modest. Because if it rolls, it needs maintenance, meaning it goes through his shop. My son-in-law is working (NCO) in just such a shop in Iraq these days.
Too many bills piled up to expect the military to plunk down a big chunk of change to swap out their tire inventory. (And I do understand how the procurement system works, that was my area to play in for 10 years... if anyone cares to understand how it works, it's simple: Congress "fixed" it, so it really doesn't work worth a dang now)
