Bridgestone Dueler AT D693

Local tire dealer made me what appears to be a reasonable offer on a set of Bridgestone Dueler AT D693 Tires. He is giving me a credit on the Goodyear Wranglers on my CRD I recently bought.

Does anyone have much experience with this tire and is it worth changing out? I live in a rural setting in Iowa, gravel roads, snow that doesn't get plowed out until the cities get worked over. I occasionally use the CRD to check out areas of the farm so it gets off the road often, but does not go mud bogging. Just need good traction going thru wet grass on steep hillsides. Do travel the highway a lot so hoping the tire will be good there as well.

Is it a good choice?

The Bridgestone Dueller AT and the BFG AllTerain TA are the two highest rated tires for a stock Liberty in my opinion. I would hazard a guess and say that more stock Libbys upgrade to Dueller A/T's than any other tire out there. (I think that the Goodyear MT/R's go on more lifted Libbys).

I just put 50k on my Duellers and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. If you can only get a dollar for your old tires it will still be worth it.

After reading this post it inspired me to buy a set myself. :lol:

I paid $110 a tire installing them this Saturday. Love the look of them and they have to be better than the crap on there now in the snow and sand.

Just got them on. They look alot nicer than the other crap that was on there. Next I'll have to get out and test them a little.

Where do you go to get tire credit back? I have a brand new spare and everyone over here is telling me it is worthless now. They wont even give 25 dollars for it.

I'm running a pair 693's on the back of my 2wd Chevy 1500 W/T pickup. They are excellent in deep snow as long as I have some weight in the back. They are also suprisingly quite on dry roads considering the open shoulder tread design. One thing, I had to put on mud flaps as they threw sand against the lower body panels, chipping the paint. The trusty old bowtie doesn't see much snow anymore as I have the CRD for that task now.
