Just got some black steel wheels. 15x8 w/4'' of BS. Anyone running 31x10.50s with this wheel combo? I am curious about rub and tire cutting when stuffed. I have the Rusty's coil lift. I am wondering if I'd be better off running 30x9.50's or chopping the liners and going for 31s. My cv angles llok so good that a cleavis and rear spring isolater lift are probably in the KJs future also for an extra inch or so. Any thoughts on tire size?

2 Bend up Offending Steel above plastic

Thanks KJhawaii. I guess the fender liners will have to go, the bottom of the air dam will have to be trimmed, the pinchweld pounded, and all that jazz. I do want to see the pics of this "offending metal" though. I hate offending metal unless it's Maiden!!!

I thought that we looked at this?
first you will only gain about 1/2" of ground clearance but you will loose fuel econo and slow go crawl ability
not only that but you will need to extend your bumpstops

Rember that my TJ that follows those guys with 33's and 35's is only running 30's but is locked
Look at it like this the money you will save in gas will pay for your locker
espicialy when gas goes to well over $3.00 a gallon

Good point on the crawl speed. 30s sound may be the way to go. Cheaper and I may not have to cut into the Jeep too much. It's still a tough call though considering I could do a cleavis lift and add some spring isolators in back. 31s just keep calling my name.

I had 30x10.50's on my jeep with 5" BS cragar rims. With the OME 1.5infront,2"rear lift, I had little rubbing at full lock on the pinch seam and foglight door. Im not going to worry about the front, but the rear needed something done. I added the daystar bumpstops but have not had the tires back on since then. The rubbing wasnt to bad, so I hope this took care of it.
