Post subject:  Want to buy stock tires
My completely stock 04 Liberty will be needing new tires before the winter. If anyone is upgrading their stock tires to something different, I would be willing to buy the stock ones. Shipping used tires doesn't make sense so this would have to be local - I'm in the Metro Detroit area and would be willing to drive a reasonable distance.

Welcome to the board Uncle B. Keep an eye out. Folks are always upgrading their tires. For good reason though. You like the stockers I gather. Any particular reason?

I have a set of 5 stock Goodyears 215/75R-16'sthat have been in my basement for about two years. 4 have about 2,500 miles 1 was never used.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been reading this message board ever since we got our Jeep in late 2004 and even posted a couple of times. I guess I never posted on this "new" site and that's why it shows that I only have one post.

It's not that I particularly like the stock tires it's just that they are good enough for my needs. The Liberty is my wife's car and the stock tires are just fine for her. We've never had any problems with them.

How much would you want for your tires? I see that you're in Oregon which means they would have to be shipped. Shipping alone would be probably over $100 :-(

Uncle B do I have a deal for you. I am in Toledo so you could run down here in a hour or less. I have 4 take offs with a lot of wear left/ my spare has never been on the ground. I will sell you all for a great deal! PM me and I will give you my phone number. I am heading for Boston in a week and a half and would like to have a new spare hanging off the back by then by then.
