Post subject:  spare extention?

I am going to be getting 245/75 General Grabber AT2s and need to know if I am going to need any kind of extention to make the spare fit in the stock location and for the rear glass to work like normal. Do I need anything special? Thanks.

I think it might depend on the wheels backspacing. If your sticking with your stock wheel, you should be fine.

I was actually wondering the same thing cause i finally  bought a full size spare and am gonna mount it when i get back. I think i will be good though since my cragar are 4" BS as opposed to the stock 5.5" BS.

You all should br fine. If the glass does hit it or anything, you can put some washers behind it...

245x75x16's should not be a problem - but if you go larger - you can turn the carrier upside down - moves the tire up and angles it out

I have BFG AT's LT245/75R16's on stock steel wheels (for now) and I had to put a 1/2" of spacers to get the glass to clear the tire.

It just depends on the brand of tires, and/or wheel back space.

My Rubi's are on the way!! :D
