Post subject:  Anyone running Cooper Discoverer ATR?

looking at getting a set in 245/70/16 for the wife's 03 KJ. It is bone stock, she already told me I can never lift it, and it will probably never leave the road. But, we do get nasty winters here in Erie, PA, so I need something that is good in snow, ice, slush etc. Price is much less than REVOs and Destination ATs in my area. I think the General AT2s would be a little too aggressive for her and I was not impressed with the old set of Generals I had on my XJ. Any opinions on the ATR?

Post subject:  ATR's

I have had them on for about a year now and I like them alot, much cheaper than Revo's or BFG's (I considered them too) and very comparible I think. No problems in the snow and they seem to wear really well too.

I'm stock and use my Jeep as a daily driver, very light offroad occasionally but for my purposes offroad I havent had any problems.

If you are looking for a snow tire type, check out the Cooper MS too. A friend of mine suggested them if I wanted something that is good in the snow but lighter than an AT tire. I dont know much about them but I do know I would buy the ATR's again.

I have drove to and from PA in a snow storm and they have done fine.
