My mom just bought an '03 Liberty Freedom Edition about 2 weeks ago and now she already wants some AT tires for it. Since she has the dreaded 17" wheels, I suggested for her to get some 15" wheels so there are a LOT more tire choices for her. More importantly, she can get the BFG AT KO's. However, will the 15" wheels clear the disc's? These are the wheels she wants... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku Also, would 3.75" BS be too much? Thanks for your help guys. PS - Here's a quick picture of her KJ. Like I said she's only had it a few weeks but she already loves it. Applause http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v336/ ... g_0640.jpg |

There are very few wheels in 15" that will clear. A couple of known ones are rockkrawler black steelies and cragar soft 8s. A safer choice would be 16" wheels, with BFG TA/KOs or Firestone Destination A/Ts. I had the destination A/Ts in between my stock tires and my MT/Rs and loved them in the snow and on the road. |

See thats where there's a problem. There arn't any wheels in 16" form that she likes without having to spend an arm and a leg. |

Ok so she decided to go with some 16x8 wheels. How much backspacing and what size tire do you guys recommend? |

Tire Size - 245/70-16 is perfect for an unlifted rig. Just a little bit bigger than stock, and no rubbing or anything like that to worry about. Backspacing - around 5" is what most people run, including those with Rubicon Moab Rims. So, you want a 16x8 rim, 5 on 4.5 lug pattern, with 4.5 to 5" of backspacing. |

They won't rub? The stock tires on it now, which are 235/65R17 rub a little under mild cornering. |

but you're going from a 17" to a 16" rim, and getting a different backspacing. |
