Does anyone include the spare tire in the rotation sequence? If so, how? Or do most KJ owners leave the spare new?

Good question!

I want to start rotating my spare as well to spread out the treadwear and hopefully get more life from all 5 tires. Only problem is, when I bought my Generals I only ordered 4 tires. Guy from tire store says that I shouldn't go much past 6,000 miles on the first 4 tires before introducing the fifth. Guess I should get on this already.

i rotate the spare with the rest of the tire rotation.
we rotate all 5 tires every 6k miles, or every second oil change.

spare to RR
RR to LF
LF to LR
LR to RF
RF to spare

At least that is how I have always done it.

That is the right way to do it especialy with 4WD and a locker you want the tires as close to the same as you can get
It does not matter as much with bigger tires though they will do les rev. per mile

mine is included in the rotation. but i have had so many flats on my wrangler ST's that it kind of roatates itself into the mix.

On the same plan. I think I will drop the spare from the rotation once it get back to the original position. By then I will have had enough of the ST's and get 4 new tires, keeping the half-worn old spare for a donut.
