Dayton Timberline MT 235/85R16

So I got one mounted on my spare rim to do a fit, and it is sweet. I pounded the pinch weld in, and the rear looks fine. In the front I'll have to trim that little air dam to prevent it from being ripped at full lock. The odd part is that the upper A-arm touches. So I guess I'll need to order some SpiderTrex spacers.

OK, I only need spacers (which I don't have yet) to keep the inner liner safe at full lock, and I had to trim the air dam and a little of the bumper (darn those are big tires!). Some of the front inner liner is going to have to be pushed/held back too. Here are pictures of the tires. I'll try to get one of the trimming soon...

Those are NICE looking tires! How do they ride on road and off? What's the overal diameter? 31" or 32"?

After completing my skid group, I think some Renegade wheels are in order.

Those are some monstrous tires! Nominally larger than a 265/75R16 tire, even (still a "32")

they are listed as a true 32" by Dayton, which measures to the tenth.

they ride like... mut tires. a little noisy, buy ok for what i do. and yes, i'm REALLY looking forward to the ride on the 30th.

Not much room for stuffage it s4eems in the rear....but I'm anxious to see pictures of it working out at Livingston...

If the 4' firestik doesn't catch your eye, the 32's will.

Moose, you're going to need bump stops for the rear spring perch to limit the rear from over stuffing.

Been there, done that!

OK, observations from the trail

1) I love this tread. This did great in mud and on slickrock. No matter what the size, these things rock!

2) 32" tires is as large as anyone should go with a 3" lift. I still have more trimming to do, and at times I was wondering if I was ripping stuff out of the wells, but it handled it. I was also able to just tap the skid plate where others were scraping - nice.

3) The narrow tire seemed to get great (better?) traction on the wet sandstone due to the narrower surface

That last one still catches at full lock, but until I relocate the washer bottle....

I did a heat gun on the well liner. when that didn't work too well, I just trimmed whe parts that were scraping...

You have one sweet Renegade...one of my favorites by far. I would definitly do mine the same as yours...color and everything!

I was sold on some Moabs and Wrangler MTRs but after seeing these pictures...I'm debating whether to get some Renny wheels and the Timberlines...they look awesome!
