I live in South West Florida, and do mostly trail riding and experience a few mud pits here and there. I also need my tires to last a while, and perrform well on the road as well, keeping in mind it rains a lot here in the summer.

Does anyone have any experience with these tires or any links to comparisons?

What I know is this
The maxis "stuck shots" are LOUD as H311 on the highway but do well in the mud/dirt and last fairly long
The kumho's that I saw did very well in Gilmer TX and do very well on the trails here in south LA and I think they did well in Hotsprings
I dont know how they are for road noise though

I've got the Maxxis Big Horns and they've been really good offroad, No muding with them, but they've got really tough sidewalls and big lugz...should do well.

Really nice on the road.....quieter than the MTR's in my opinion.

Will they stand up to 40,000 miles of use or more though?

MTR's are usually only good for around 30K before they start getting loud and traffic worn...I would think the Maxxis will be about the same. Only time will tell...

I know people that got 50K out of their Revo's but your going to give up alot on the trail comparitivly.

I have run Kumho MTs they are a long lasting tire a bit loud but so a are all MT's.

What ever you buy look for the centers to be siped they don't skid as much on the wet stuff and they are quieter. I got cooper stt I love them!
