I'm thinking of getting a set of interco Trxus tires....can someone tell me if I can fit a 235/85/16 on the stock rim and not rub a ton?

if that wont work, can I get a 15" rim and go 31*10.5 on a 15? If so what rim do I need, I'll just get some blakc steelies but what backspacing etc do I need in a rim?

235/85 tires are the same size sidewall as 265/75 (31.9 inches).

Most 15" rims will not work with the KJ because of the brakes.

I'd say 245/75 tires would be the absolute biggest you could go without lifting... and even then you'll more than likely have loads of rubbing.

I forgot to add I have a Rustys Coil Lift....can I fit the 235/85R16's?
Is it a wise decision in tire size?

They will probably fit, but not without some trimming.

First of all, you'll need to get rid of the pinch weld... that's for sure.
Then you'll probably have to start cutting on the front fascia and gravel guard.

Most all 235/85R16's are 10 ply tires (31.73 OD). A 10 ply or load range E tire would make for a very uncomfortable ride in a Libby.

Not mine, but a friend's. I know he was trying to sell it, but I'm not sure if he still has it or not. 2003 Limited, 235/85/16 Interco TrXus MT's with a 2 1/2" lift. He did have an issue with a blowout on the highway, so I'm not sure if i would recommend them for daily driving.

You can see more pics of it throughout my albums at http://picasaweb.google.com/TRCorcoran There is also another black 2003 limited with the same size tire (sometimes AT, sometimes MT), but not the TrXus.

Hope this helps!
